The primary mission of the ISS Scope  is to reduce crashes, injuries, and fatalities and improve safety on nation's highways involving large trucks and buses while generating revenue and creating jobs for the Citizens.

  • The mission of  ISS Scope includes reducing the number of transportation incidents that involve hazardous materials and could potentially harm the public and the environment. Developing programs to accomplish these goals and increase the safety of hazardous material transportation.

  • Harness safety information systems to focus on higher risk carriers in enforcing the safety regulations;

  • Target educational messages to carriers, commercial drivers, and the public;

  •  Partner with stakeholders including Federal, State, and local enforcement agencies, the motor carrier industry,safety groups, and organized labor on efforts to reduce bus and truck-related crashes.
